Ecofinca
Built around the year 1800, Cortijo Los Gorros was one of the many villages that were scattered and isolated in the mountains of los Alamos, where the nuclei of the population had their own customs, achieving a high degree of self-sufficiency.
At that time there was a holistic vision: agriculture, livestock, forest ... it was understood as a complex system, as a whole, to where we travel in this project.
Cortijo Los Gorros is part of a project dedicated to the regeneration of the mediterranean forest in which it is intertwined with the work of the human being and the nature.
Forest Management
We are engaged in a process of regeneration of the mediterranean forest, which after centuries of logging, intensive, has left the conifers as the dominant species. We work to promote and recover native species, such as holm oak, gall oak, rowan, juniper... in Addition, we preserved ancient trees of these species.
Agriculture Regenerative
We have become the guardians of an ancient planting of plums, Claudia green, which take care of using ecological farming practices and regenerative terraces and ancient. Our current mission is to meet the challenges of modern times and explore what crops we can develop approaches to regenerative, promoting biodiversity.
In this project we function with a system off grid energy pv and hydraulic convinados for greater efficiency.
